Academic significance
These are the pieces of writing from my own work as well as from academic articles that influence my teaching philosophy and practices

Literacy Newsletter
A Newsletter on four aspects of literacy learning: Oral Language, Reading, Writing and Media.

Our Garden Project
A merge of Math, Science, Language & Literacy

Start with a Seedling, Moffatt (2016)
This article talks about how a garden could support language and literacy curriculum, including oral lanaguge by asking and answering questions, as well as food literacy and food security. It provides the foundation for my work at the family resource placement: Our Garden Project. It inspires me and gives me the confidence in involving children with the community and the nature surrounding us.

Funds of knowledge, Moll et al. (1992)
This article helps me learn how to let parents co-design learning experiences with the educators, and how to empower them in the classroom. The family is the most important element in the child's life, and I want to emphasize that by applying funds of knowledge in my practice.
