My Philosophy
I believe relationship means the world to a child. This does not only include the connection between the child and the family but also the interaction between them and the surrounding environment, including nature, the neighborhood, educators, friends and so on.

Building a relationship with the child opens the door to understanding them. When trust is built, we can relax, be vulnerable, and receive support and enrichment when it comes to us. Each and every child deserves to have more than one person whom they can trust. I value the relationship I have with children and hope to be one of the people they can count on.

I believe children learn through play and experiences. This merges with my belief in Emergent Curriculum, where teaching is presented through an inquiry-based approach. I hope to guide my children's learning through their own observations and interests as well as my observations and facilitation in providing materials and presenting an environment that encourage exploration.

I would like to include Reggio Emilia Approach into my practices, because I think children do have many languages to express themselves. Every child is different, and they will require different tools to grow their skillsets and knowledge. I would love to document children's learning, an element in the Reggio Emilia Approach, because it is one of the best tools for children to recollect their learning, promote their sense of self and to make their learning evident to the children, the family, the educators and the communities.

I believe children are competent and independent. They are open-minded and imaginative. I believe children desire to learn and are intrigued about the world. They are determined to pursue what they want to know. Children have the right to be respected for their needs, and wants, and should be given the chance to grow, learn and fully develop in all aspects, including physically, emotionally, socially and cognitively.
